Are the 1975 disbanding, or are they just setting the stage for a massive new album? Either way, the band’s recent actions have sent their rather sizeable fan base into quite a tizzy.

The British indie rockers deleted all their social-media accounts on Monday, according to themusic.com.au, about 24 hours after front man Matthew Healy posted a cryptic comic strip on Twitter and Instagram.

The comic, still available on band manager Jamie Oborne’s Twitter feed, talks about changing their “projected identity” both visually and philosophically.

“Until then there won’t be any pop music or dancing with long hair,” a sentence reads, indicating a possible hiatus. The intent of the post becomes more ominous, musically at least, toward the end, with lines like: “The hardest part of any relationship is to say ‘goodbye’” and the concluding sentence: “So we must leave, with a parting ‘we love you’ — we are already gone.”

While many are preparing for the worst, there are a few who are a little more skeptical.

But right now, until the band’s big reveal, all everyone can do is wait.

밴드 매니저인 Jamie Oborne의 트위터 피드에서 아직 남아있는 그 만화에서는 비주얼적, 철학적으로의 "예상된 정체성"을 바꾸는것에 대한것을 이야기한다. 

"그들이 팝뮤직 또는 긴머리를 한채로 춤을 추지 않을때까지," a sentence reads(??), 가능한 중단을 가리킨다.
